StoryPop ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and website.
Information We Collect
- Account Information: Name, email address, and profile picture when you register.
- Usage Data: Stories read, episodes unlocked, and in-app purchases made with Kernels.
- Device & Camera: We may request access to your device's camera solely to allow you to upload a profile photo. We do not store or transmit camera data beyond what you explicitly choose to upload.
- Microphone: We request access to your device's microphone so you can use voice commands to search for stories, navigate the app, and have episodes read aloud to you. For example, you can tap the microphone button and say "Search for romance stories" or "Read this episode to me." Audio from the microphone is processed in real time for speech recognition only and is not stored or transmitted beyond that immediate use.
- Payment Information: Payment transactions are processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your full credit card details.
- Push Notifications: If you opt in, we collect a device token to send you notifications about new episodes and promotions.
How We Use Your Information
- To provide and improve the StoryPop service
- To process kernel purchases and episode unlocks
- To send you notifications you have opted into
- To fulfill physical merchandise orders
- To communicate with you about your account
Sharing Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with:
- Stripe – for payment processing
- Service providers – who assist in operating our platform, under strict confidentiality agreements
- Legal requirements – if required by law or to protect our rights
Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.
Children's Privacy
StoryPop is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
Your Rights & Data Deletion
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To request deletion of your account and all associated data, please email mystorypop26@gmail.com with your request. We will process your deletion request in accordance with applicable laws.
